AIMS of the B.V.C

- To establish relationships with individuals in the village and surrounding areas

- To encourage individuals in the community to volunteer their service

- To assist families and individuals who are less fortunate

- To empower youths to develop and exhibit positive attitudes

- To make avenues available for children and adults to display their talents and abilities

- To promote family awareness and appreciation

- To encourage wellness and healthy living

The Bank Village Committee also known as the “B.V.C.” was established in 2003. This voluntary, community-based organization has been active for the past eleven (11) years and is registered with the Ministry of Community Development - Caroni District.

The Board of Executives is selected by the majority vote in an Annual General Meeting, usually held in the first quarter of the Calender year. Executives comprise individuals from various backgrounds of academia and work experience, age groups and gender which come together to pool their expertise, knowledge and abilities in an effort to positively impact and serve the community of Bank Village.

The B.V.C is a NGO which believes in synergy within a team and encourages open communication at meetings and events. The Committee hopes to be an example and encourage neighbouring communities to take an interest and get involved with residents who may be disadvantaged physically, economically or socially.
